« Obama Can't Handle the Truth | Main | McCain's Surge » July 25, 2008Bam!Left-wing anti-war films about the war on terror - films like In The Valley of Elah, Rendition and Redacted all bombed at the box office. Whatever their views on the Iraq war, Americans don't have much appetite for preachy left-wing movies that disrespect the American military and preach moral equivalence between America and the Islamofacists. At least one conservative movies about the war, on the other hand, is setting box office records, says author Andrew Klavan. Now I really want to see it. Posted in War on Terror

Would you regard this year's Oscar winner for best documentary "Taxi to the Dark Side" a 'left-wing movie'? The movie chronicles the torture death of a 22 yr old Afghan male by American soldiers and the Bush Administration policy of extrajudicial detention. Posted by: William at July 26, 2008 5:35 PMI haven't seen it. But if it is meant to smear the whole military based on the actions of a few soldiers, then yes it is a left-wing film. My post was not about documentaries, but about Hollywood movies - fictional films - with an anti-war, left-wing, blame-America slant. They all bomb at the box office.
