« I Want One of These | Main | Dr. No Strikes Again » June 25, 2008Why Does Congress Want to Know About Your eBay Purchases?Freedom Works reports that the housing bailout bill sponsored by Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Connecticut, and Sen. Churles Grassley, R-Iowa, includes a provision that would require online sellers and all credit card companies to track, aggregate, and report information on nearly every electronic transaction to the federal government. That means providing the government information on all your credit card transactions and online payments. The government of course already tracks too much information about is, financial and otherwise. Frog, water, slow boil and all that. Posted in America the Beautiful

Hmmm, good question. Why do they want to know, and why is it in a housing bill? I for one am going to get on the phone and let the senate know that this is not good, and that Dodd can push legislation for Countrywide Financial group and get all the VIP loans he wants, but people are going to hear about it. Call the senate now! To go with the DNA they want to take from your kids at birth. Child's gene map indicates potential for criminal activity based on comparison with prison population. As an adult this person purchases a firearm or ammunition via credit card. Big Brother steps in and confiscates purchase to avert a potential crime. Minority Report in real life.
