The Tennessee Municipal League is advising its members to comply. Too bad the TML doesn't advise the Bredesen administration on how to handle open-records requests. What a request. I'm not as informed as I probably should be on whether the TML has in place uniform reporting on government-issued purchasing-card usage. Do they? I see where their going with this, and better them compile it than the rest of us wonder. If there aren't uniform reporting standards on government-issued purchasing-card usage across the various municipalities, I hope TCPR makes the data public and searchable rather than counting on thinking reporters and bloggers simply linking to their one page conclusion. There is a lot of data and information hiding in plain sight but it is made difficult to pull together because of the format provided on the Internet.
