« Government Waste Preview | Main | Bredesen Says Voters Who Elected Him Aren't Smart Enough to Pick Good Judges » June 14, 2008How Do They Really Feel?Former Tennessee congressman Harold Ford Jr. and state Democratic Committeewoman Brenda Ables have now condemned the "Obama-connected-to-terrorists" remarks of their fellow Democrats Beecher Frasier (U.S. Rep. Lincoln Davis' chief of staff) and Fred Hobbs*, who is a member of the Tennessee Democratic Party's State Executive Committee. Kleinheider has the details and links in two posts here and here. What's not getting enough attention is how Fred Hobbs* told the Huffington Post he was apologizing for his remarks, but how - closer to home - he told The Tennessean he stands by them. We're also left wondering why the state's top Democrat - Gov. Phil Bredesen - hasn't condemned the remarks as we know for a fact that he has been given the opportunity to do so. * No relation to me whatsoever. Posted in Campaign Season
