« A Fine Line? | Main | From the Department of Unexpected Economic News » May 22, 2008Message from An Obama SupporterIn the interest of balance, I have decided to share with you this message from Barack Obama supporter the Rev. George Brooks of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It's a section from the May 2008 edition of his newsletter The Brooks Report. Where have we heard of Rev. George Brooks of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, before? I seem to recall that he's been involved in politics before. Oh yes, now I remember. He sent racist and anti-semitic mailers to voters in Memphis urging them to vote for Nikki Tinker, the Democrat challenging incumbent Democrat congressman Steve Cohen in the 9th Congressional District. The Rev. George Brooks appears to have "the Wright stuff." Posted in Campaign Season

Sounds like the reverend should spend a little more time with the bible and a little less time spewing vile racist hate. Posted by: D.J. Posted by: News 2 Me at May 22, 2008 4:07 PMThere seems to be a number of people with "Rev." in front of their names who need to first pose the question WWJD before they act or react. Posted by: RWBlack at May 23, 2008 4:21 AM"Michele Osama"? Are the Rev. true feelings slipping out? Could it be that he honors Allah over God, to have had such a Freudian slip? What do these vocal Democrat leaders really want for America? I wonder... Posted by: Ed at May 23, 2008 8:59 AMPost a comment
