Booze It and Lose It

tnflag.jpgThe Tennessean covers the farewell speech of state Rep. Rob Briley, the Nashville Democrat who chose not to run for re-election this year after his DUI arrest after leading police on a high-speed chase across two counties after smashing his SUV into an occupied car.

Briley took shots at the media and political bloggers in his farewell speech. The Tennessean says Briley will practice law after leaving the legislature, and his office will be located in downtown Nashville's Printers Alley. That's right, the alcoholic ex-legislator who traded his wife and children for a fling with a lobbyist and now slams information publishers for having the audacity to publicize it, will practice law in a section of downtown Nashville named for its historic connection to printing and publishing, and also famed for its booze and strippers.
