Rather than "a very good explanation", the blog offers what its name stands for - Hot Air. These people are out of touch with reality. Two examples. A soldier writes after 16 months in Iraq: "I talked to hundreds of Iraqis. Some didnt like us; some wanted us to leave, but most did not." Or take this one: Read what think tanks have to say, or just use a common sense. Could Bin Laden dream of a larger impact of his coup than bleeding US by 12 billions a month, for years, without an end in sight? As JE Stiglitz put it (Nobel Price in economics 2001): "Who would have believed that one administration could do so much damage so quickly?" And the damage is not limited to economy. Disastrous image of US policy and declining impact of American values, dangerously overstrained US military, Iraq as a recruting machine and permanent training ground for islamic extremism, hatery against Amarica deep in the hearts of millions of Moslems all over the world. If Bin Laden could predict the history and chose the American president in 2003, he would definitely select GW Bush.
I love the language people like you use - "don't leave till the job is finished." I'm sorry but this was never USA's job to begin with. It's like Bush jumped behind the counter at McDonalds and dunked some fries. The manager came up and told him to leave, and yall say, he shouldn't leave till the fries are finished. But really, Bush should just get out. Posted by: Kevin at April 14, 2008 11:59 AMPost a comment
