Bill, how do you think this information should influence future policy decisions? Is there a case, in your opinion, for more responsible use of our resources regardless of whether global warming is or is not a severe threat? I assume that your intent here is to argue that global warming has taken on a "Chicken Little" level of significance. I'm curious where you think environmentalism and conservation should measure as priorities if the sky is not falling. Posted by: Rob Robinson at February 2, 2008 12:34 PMNo I believe Bill's intent is to draw attention to short term climate patterns that cast aspersion against AGW in the same manner as polar bears sitting on a melting ice flow in the middle of summer is indicative of AGW. Or what about Congressional mandates for automobiles to be produced with higher fuel mileage while subsidizing and promoting ethanol that has less energy per volume and thus less fuel mileage?
