Jeff Soyer considers the question... I wrote 10 days ago about immigration as a wedge issue that helps Republicans. The illegal immigration crisis and the threat of gun control are both are security issues. Illegal immigration affects national security, your economic security and your personal security, and anything that undermines your Second Amendment right to own a firearm for self-defense undermines your personal security.
