« Read the RICO Lawsuit Against Bredesen | Main | In Your Facebook » October 31, 2007Puff for the KidsWhen you stop and think about it, the way Congress funds the S-CHIP program is borderline insane. But it's not just Congress. Here in Tennessee the Bredesen administration needs you to smoke so it can fund education. In fact, with cigarette tax revenues coming in way below projections, the Bredesen administration needs you smokers to smoke more, and they really need tens of thousands more Tennesseans to start smoking. So start smoking today. It's for the children. Posted in Tennessee Government News

Damn, Bill! When the HELL will we grow tired of that old, socialist clich? The only practical use of this clich is to allow us to closely examine those who would engage it to determine their REAL agenda! Reading almost every day, I remain Jim (Give me your Beemer. It's 'for the children.') Boyd Posted by: William James (Jim) Boyd at October 31, 2007 9:12 AMThe word above is 'cliche.' The software hiccuped on the tilde. Jim Posted by: William James (Jim) Boyd at October 31, 2007 11:06 AMWait a dang minute! Where have we heard the same lunatic concept of cigarette taxes for the children? Oh, yea, Philly B in Tennessee. So come fellow Tennesseans, light up! It's for the children and several million adults too. And by dying off earlier you will also save "the children" from a 68% tax hike to pay for the $84 trillion they will have to "cough up" for social security and Medicare beginning in 5 years.
