John McCain Interview Live Webcast

Republican presidential candidate John McCain will be interviewed live on the web today by Hoover Institution fellow Peter Robinson, whose Uncommon Knowledge video interview series I've been promoting lately. The live webcast begins at 7 p.m. eastern time (that's 6 p.m. to those of us in the central time zone, 5 p.m. Mountain and 4 p.m. on the Left Coast). It will be viewable on the homepage of the Hoover Institution website, www.hoover.org.

I'm guessing the interview also will be archived for future viewing.

Robinson has interviewed a number of interesting guests lately. You can see a complete archive here. Uncommon Knowledge began life as a weekly show on PBS, and now is a web-only production of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

In addition to his recent Fred Thompson interview, viewed by more than 26,000 people so far, Robinson's recent interview guests have included:

Michael Spence, Philip H. Knight Professor Emeritus of Management in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, on economic growth in India and China.

Former Attorney General and iraq Study Group member Ed Meese discussing the Iraq Study Group's recommendations.

Economist magazine editor John Mickelthwaite discussing the Economist magazine.

Mississippi Gov. Hayley Barbour, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, on How the GOP Can Get its Groove Back.

Constitutional law professors Richard Epstein and John Yoo on consitutional issues raised by the war on terror, including the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, terrorist trials, and more.

The whole list of guests so far is here.
