The fundamental difference between Democrats and Republicans has been revealed this year: The Democrats want to spend every penny of the surplus and raise taxes by a quarter-billion dollars, and the Republicans want tax relief for Tennessee families and to slow down the growth of government. We don't have a revenue problem in this state, we have a spending problem, and this year's budget will only lead to a tax increase in a few years.
