Jones: Publishing lists of [handgun carry permit] holders tends to suggest that they need to be tracked, like sex offenders. It implies that they're nefarious characters who can't be trusted. Nothing could be further from the truth. ... There's a simple reason CCW holders as a group are so law-abiding - they have to be law-abiding citizens in order to qualify for a permit in the first place.Read the whole thing.
