Prayer Request

My mother, Harriet Hobbs, has breast cancer for the second time. She's 77 and had it about five years ago, and treatment was effective. But now it has returned - stage-4 metastatic breast cancer. Treatment this time with Herceptin, a new drug approved since her last battle with the disease, in combination with the drug Navelbine, has been very effective. The tumors in her lungs and liver have disappeared. (God bless the evil greedy pharmacos!). But she has multiple tumors in her brain. Herceptin does not work on breast cancer tumors in the brain. In layman's terms, the herceptin molecule is too big to go into the brain.

If you pray, please add my mother to your prayer list.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Bill. Thoughts and prayers for your mother, and, your family.

You got it, Bill.

Also, Vanderbilt does some very good clinical trials on people with stage 4 cancers. I can get you a name and number if you're interested.

I can testify to the power of group prayer/prayer lists. Have experienced it myself and have seen it with my granddaughter. It does not have to be a religious thing as one might generally think of it, either.

One of my grandmothers successfully fought it a few years ago. She is gone now, but not because of the cancer. Will be keeping all of you in thoughts and prayers, Bill.

Mr. Hobbs,
You have my prayers. I'm so sorry. This is a painful thing and I'm keeping you in my thoughts,

Bill,

Your mother will be in my prayers. I am a survivor of seven years, so there is hope.

My mom is the same age as yours. Five years ago she spent 3 weeks hovering between life and death. I am praying the same prayer for your mother that I prayed for mine - "Dear God, please take care of Bill's mom." I know that God will do just that.

Bill, Your mother and your whole family are in my prayers. God bless you all.

Go hand and hand with God. He is with you.
