Sen. Cooper Injured

The Murfreesboro Post reports that state Sen. Jerry Cooper was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday night on I-24.

Notice how when a celebrity, professional athlete, or politician is involved in a wreck... when the question of whether or not alcohol was involved, it's "never immediately known." I don't want to prejudge, but it's VERY simple to make an initial determination whether or not alcohol is involved in an accident.

Whenever you read or hear about such accidents that happen to the average person, such reports almost always include whether or not the driver was under the influence.

I suspect alcohol was involved in at least some way. However, even if it was the primary cause, it's very easy to spin it as simply "falling asleep--and oh yes, the Senator DID consume a small amount of alcohol at the reception, but not enough to be a factor in this crash."
