« Paper: We Ignore Some News | Main | State Agency Deliberately Ignores Public-Info Request » February 15, 2007Into the StormBlog post accumulation here at BillHobbs.com is expected to be light the rest of the day as I'm traveling to snow-blanketed Philadelphia to visit relatives including my mom who, with the help of God working through some good doctors is currently kicking cancer's tail for the second time. Update: Flying in Philly is problematic these days given the cold, icy, snowy weather - for which I blame global warming. My flight is delayed an hour, so I decided to plug in the laptop and ... the entire gate area has just two outlets, and the one I've plugged into has no power. Nashville International Airport is in the midst of a $40 million renovation and, trust me, it needs it. Posted in Site News

You do a great job picking up the trends in the media. I am very curious with respect to how much the print and broadcast media "steals" or is "inspired" by the blogosphere. Is it just my imagination or do the various bloggers drive much of the coverage? When I caught Phil Valentine the other day - 15 minutes of the show - it was like a rehash of the TN blogger posts earlier that day. Any speculation is an inexact science... obviously the bloggers are commenting on the timely issues but I think the producers are trolling the blogosphere regularly. I think we are providing a lot of "unpaid consulting". Good luck in Brotherly Love, Pa. I was born there - Manayunk-Roxborough section 43 years ago. Grew up most of my life in Ardmore.
