The author focused on the "global warming denier" meme, which I liked. An "inconvenient truth" indeed, especially in light of the possibility that we have reached a solar maximum and "warming" may head downhill soon.

But I have proof that there is global warming! Why just 15,000 years ago, where I live was under about a 1000 feet of ice. And look at it now, just hovering around freezing.
Take away the "facts," and what do we have left? Oh yeah, the next "crisis will be the coming Ice Age. I saw it on the Discovery Channel. No kidding.
Someone let me know when they make up their minds, or at least make sense.

James Hansen sold the "greenhouse gas" concept to Sen. Al Gore in 1988 during a Senate inquiry into Climate. The UN set up the IPCC to examine the effect of greenhouse gases on the climate. We know the rest, they need billions a year to continue their work of saving humanity etc. Where Hansen and the IPCC's comparison of CO2 to Climate doesn't fit very well Svensmark's Solar activity to temperature moves in lockstep. As such this will be very difficult to dismiss.

I hit the science aspect a bit harder in Clouds

I'd like Al Gore to explain the 150 million year retreat of the Pleistocene Ice Age Epoch.

Algore is the modern day CHICKEN LITTLE.
Keep it up al, but you better dream up another reason for the sky falling.

There are tons of problems with Svensmark's theory, since there is no global cloud cover trend and no GCR trend. That, and other problems, detailed here.
