The Revolving Door

A new state ethics law requires lawmakers to wait one year after leaving office to do lobbying work, but former state Rep. Kim McMillan will be lobbying the legislature on behalf of the Bredesen administration right away as Bredesen's new "senior advisor," just weeks after leaving office. McMillan was the prime sponsor of the ethics law in the House so, no doubt, there's probably a loophole in the ethics law that allows this - but that doesn't mean it's ethical.
