For the background read these two posts: I'm calling Wilkey's follow-up a half-apology because, well, because that is what it is. In effect, Wilkey says, "Dr. Camp says he was taken out of context. I don't know if that's true, but if it is, it is Dr. Camp's fault." The B&R doesn't give readers any quotes from Dr. Camp's response to The Tennessean, but at least Wilkey tells his readers where to find it on the web. Hat tip: The Refugee Baptist. Has Lipscomb released an audio or video tape to see if Dr. Camp's comments were in fact taken out of context? From my personal experience, Dr. Camp's ideas can be radical and outside the maintstream. For example, he is a pacifist and repeatedly rails on behalf of pacifism each and every semester at Lipscomb. In fact, he had a representative of the Christian Tentmakers (???) group speak on campus this fall. The representative attacked President Bush and our troops in front of the entire student body.
