Mumpower-grab

Terry Frank reports that Tennessee Republican House leader Representative Bill Dunn is being challenged by Republican Jason Mumpower. Frank reports that Mumpower "is making calls in an effort to unseat Dunn as the Minority Leader" and that, in his effort to be Minority Leader - and in line to be Speaker of the House if the GOP takes control of the House in 2008, Mumpower has resigned his position as Assistant Minority Leader. Mumpower?

Bill Dunn has been an excellent leader and will make an excellent replacement for Jimmy Naifeh once the GOP gains the majority and Naifeh's office is boxed up and moved to some small and out of the way corner of the old War Memorial Building, where he can't cause much more harm.
