« No Negativity, No News Coverage? | Main | Questioning The Commander in Chief » October 27, 2006Thbbbt!WKRN political blogger A.C. Kleinheider, whom I usually refer to as ACK, relates a heart-to-heart conversation involving a couple of journalists. Read the whole thing. Excerpt: Er, but it wasn't. Read the whole thing. And, ACK, you really ought to "out" The Journalist who laid the great big hair ball of snobbery on you. Posted in Journalism & Media

We need a search party to find journalists in my town. They're MIA. Posted by: Donna Locke at October 27, 2006 8:47 PMGood pickup, Bill. Posted by: Wintermute at October 27, 2006 8:49 PMA revealing insight. We've heard similar over the years from a number of quarters, all saying pretty much the same thing: unless you went to a J School you are not worthy to participate in the media enterrpise which has been their monopoly all these many years. Is George Stephanopoulus a journalist? I don't know, someone please tell me. I had an experience last year when the BBC selected my post analyzing one of President Bush's speeches on Iraq and used it as the only counterpoint to the reports in the New York Times, Washington Post, Miami Herald and LA Times. One lefty commenter wrote that my opinion should not be included in the story because I was not a "journalist." I told him to take that up with the BBC, not me.
