Rep. Pruitt Hit With $10,000 Fine

tnflag.jpgThe Tennessee Registry of Election Finance has slapped state Rep. Mary Pruitt, D-Nashville, with a $10,000 fine in connection with allegations she laundered campaign funds and put them in her pocket by claiming a boarded up house she owns was rented by her campaign for office space. Jim Boyd, the Republican running against Pruitt who has crusaded to expose her corrupt ways, is naturally pleased with the news and his campaign website blog serves up links to all the news coverage.

Pruitt and her high-priced lawyer didn't even bother to show up for the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance hearing. Corruption and cowardice are not good traits for a state legislator.
