« Amendment One | Main | Krumm Favors More Open Government; Henry Clams Up » October 21, 2006Ford Backfires
Meanwhile, if you haven't seen Harold Ford Jr.'s little stunt yesterday where he crashed a Corker press conference, you can view it here. Ford miscalculated huge, and put the spotlight directly on the infamous Ford family - full of indicted, convicted and corrupt politicians for whom politics is the family business. Ford inherited his Congressional seat from his dad, but it came loaded with Ford family baggage that seems to get more junk crammed into it all the time. "I know you're here to talk about my family," Ford said to Corker. "No, no. I'm here to talk about you," Corker replied. Ford initiated the mugging but Corker won the confrontation, hands down, showing a quiet toughness and a level of maturity far above Ford's.
Memo to Harold: If you don't want people linking you with your family, stop acting like a punk. Posted in Campaign Season

In case anyone from the Ford campaign reads here: I was officially on the fence, leaning toward Ford just a couple of days ago. Then I saw the video that Bill linked above (albeit from another site). Ford's not even an option at this point; we don't need a teenager in the Senate- got enough of them already. Posted by: Michael Chaney at October 22, 2006 9:08 PMLittle Harold really stepped in it with this stunt. At least it was his campaign he screwed up and not a missile defense bill or something important. As reported on the Drudge Report: Here is the link to the Harold Ford interview re: Playboy party. It is in the archives on 9-5-06. http://www.southernrootsradio.com/political.htm Posted by: rightwinginsider2 at October 24, 2006 8:32 PMPost a comment
