« The Big House | Main | Not-So-Blind Trust: The Qualifacts Mystery Deepens » September 13, 2006Exposing Keith OlbermannBob Cox, editor of the Olbermann Watch blog, emails: Keith Olbermann's 9/11 Screed from Ground Zero has generated tremendous support among the blue blogs which are besides themselves in praising Keith's "courageous" "Murrow moment". Too bad Keith's "hole in the ground" meme falls apart on even a cursory glance. As usual, Keith does not let the facts get in the way of an opportunity to pander to his nutroot base in the vain hope of garnering a TV audience or selling his new book. You can read that post here, and I recommend you read the whole thing. Lefty bloggers are loving Olbermann's latest rant. Read Cox's rebuttal and you'll understand why their doing so merely exposes their own embarrassing lack of knowledge... Posted in War on Terror

If that's the worst he can do,then I'd say that KO is in pretty good shape. I am so tired of people marginalizing media folks as far leftiest when they oppose Bush's policies and expose some of the Bush-speak as hollow. This guy is nit-picking and is obviously so wrapped up in KO hatred that he misses most of the metaphorical points by a mile. KO is not perfect, but he is fighting back against all the rah rah of the Republican News Channel and Bush-apologists. KO is a pimp for the left. It took 7 years to build the first WTC after years of planning and site prep. The Wikipedia WTC page provides the timeline for the new WTC and collapses KO's argument that it's Bush's fault. It took 60 years before a WWII memorial for the greatest generation was completed. So where is KO's rabid rant about Truman? BTW the new 7 World Trade center was completed in May of 2006 and construction on the rest of the complex began in March and it won't be completed until 2012. It takes time to erect 1700 foot structures. Unlike KO's Lego set. Posted by: Rick Forman at September 13, 2006 10:43 AMThe brilliant thing about Olbermann is that he's not even presenting a very leftist opinion. He's targeting people vacillating in the center, the educated independents, moderate Democrats, and moderate Republicans who put Bush in office in 2004. He's careful not to say anything too outrageous, like conspiracy theories, hating the Republican Party as a whole, or anything like that. Very canny. Oh, and read the comments on the OlbermannWatch post. Gold. Posted by: brittney at September 13, 2006 11:18 AMRepublican News Channel???? How many average viewers is that compared to the US? Knickers in a twist over nothing. Posted by: Sandy P at September 14, 2006 11:52 AMI thank God for Keith Olbermann, and I am a born again Christian! Someone is finally speaking the truth about the President, Iraq, and the far right. It is a shame that prominent Christian leaders are not the ones exposing the truth about these matters. Hasn't enough evidence emerged to convince believers that the President is not being led by God? Come on people! God save and protect Keith Olbermann!
