« Leaving The Tennessean is Becoming a Trent | Main | Exposing Earmarks » August 15, 2006The Most Influential Political Blogger in TennesseeKnoxville News Sentinel reporter/blogger Michael Silence is trying to identify the five most influential political bloggers in Tennessee. (Hat tip: ACK, who has his list here.) Me? I think it's a fool's errand. Influential political blogger? The category is too broad. Some Tennessee-based bloggers, like Glenn Reynolds, write mostly about national and global politics. Others, like myself and a long list many of whom are on my blogroll, do mostly Tennessee politics. Glenn Reynolds has lots of influence as a political blogger, but not when it comes to Tennessee politics. Meanwhile, while some have said my blog has a measure of influence in state politics, it doesn't on the national level. Given that the question is too ill-defined and too broad, I won't give you my list of five, but I will say that there are many politically-oriented bloggers in this state doing a great job, among them Joe Lance, Bob Krumm, Blake Wylie, Nathan Moore, Jay Bush, A.C. Kleinheider, Sharon Cobb, Adam Groves ... and probably six or 28 more I'll remember just as soon as I hit the "publish" button. Posted in Blogging
