State Rep. Stacey Campfield read this story in The Tennessean, in which opponents of clamping down on illegal immigration try to paint those who favor such things as being "anti-immigrant" rather than "anti-illegal-immigration," and points out that that the only Hispanic member of the Tennessee state legislature - a Republican woman - has sponsored tough anti-illegal-immigration legislation.

Yeah, The Tennessean would be more credible if it distinguished between legal and illegal immigration once in a while and if it didn't characterize (via its selective quotes so reflective of the paper's bias) immigration-reductionists an "anti-immigrant" when some of us are immigrants or spouses of immigrants and none or few of us are calling for a halt to all immigration. Oh, for an actual newspaper in the capital city. I guess we will have to stop pining away for what The Tennessean once was. Or should be.

"what The Tennessean once was"? It's what its always been in my lifetime-a far left propaganda rag.
