« They Deserve It? | Main | The Story of the Story About the Indictment of Karl Rove » June 16, 2006Mall FairIt's baaaack. Every year, this dinky little carnival sets up its rickety-looking rides at the local mall. Every year my children want to go. Every year we spend two weeks trying to avoid driving within visual range of the carnival. It's annual rite of summer for us and, I suspect, for a lot of parents. Posted in Photoblogging

Great picture Bill... Really got my attention and brought back some memories. Take the kids to the fair Bill. It's such an American pasttime that is fast fading from the scene. I always looked forward to the County Fair in my hometown, which is a bit larger deal than your local carnival. But such fun. The only thing I didn't like was the National Tractor Pull they held at the Fair. Those huge engines revving at night during the competition would keep me up at night even though our house was a couple of miles away. Might be nice if you went to the fair and did a post on this vanishing American scene. Posted by: Mike's America at June 17, 2006 1:04 PMThere's a real County Fair in August - very large, with a big Ferris wheel and all the big rides. We take them to that.
