The trade magazine, a sibling of the more famous Billboard magazine, is considered a valuable resource in the live-entertainment industry. It shifted from weekly to monthly publication a few years ago. Perhaps that was the wrong direction - perhaps the industry needs a daily publication. One wonders if the parent company explored continuing the business as a daily web-only subscription publication, perhaps in blog format, to reduce publishing and distribution costs...
