Today's Reading List

The War: U.S. Army Report: Israel Can't Stop Iran's Nukes.. Which means that when the time comes - and it is coming, unless the democratic reformers in Iran gain the upper hand over the insane regime running their country - it will be the Americans who will have to act. ... Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston of George just came back from Iraq and is blogging about it - and why Howard Dean is wrong when he says American isn't winning the battle in Iraq. ... But Donald Sensing, of all people, is serving up more proof that America is losing and the terrorists are winning in Iraq.

Politics: Adam Groves reports on the possible message strategy the Tennessee GOP might employ to defeat Gov. Bredesen's re-election bid, but of course you can't beat someone with no one. Is Beth Harwell the right messenger? ... Donald Sensing channels Thomas Paine to respond to Howard Dean. Says Sensing, "Funny how a man dead 196 years seems to understand the stakes of the war and the nature of our enemy better than a living, former presidential candidate."

I consider Thomas Paine, the deservedly famous pre-American Revolution pamphleteer, is the patron saint of bloggers.

Thanks for the link to the Army report.

With respect, Mr. Hobbs, because it is your house, allow me to offer a different take on what this report means:
