« It Moved Me | Main | How to Take $64 Million From the Taxpayers Without Anyone Noticing Until It's Too Late » December 3, 2005Liberty Church
Five years ago, a few months before we got married, I took my fiance on a drive to what I hoped would be a happy surprise - a beautiful little country church where, I hoped, we could have our wedding, if they would rent it out to non-members. It was a little white clapboard church in a wonderfully picturesque setting not far from her home or mine. But as we drove up Liberty Church Road, the church came into view - half dismantled and swathed in plastic. The historic little church built in the 1830s was undergoing an extensive renovation and clearly wouldn't be ready for anyone's wedding in a few months. This is that church. Here's the historical marker. You can download different sizes of this picture on Flickr.
