You know, it's kinda messed up how much joy Republicans take in seeing the mother of our war dead being humiliated. Just a thought. Posted by: brittney at December 22, 2005 11:37 AMCasey Sheehan volunteered for the military, volunteered for a SECOND tour in Iraq, and volunteered for the specific mission on which he was killed. He died trying to save his brothers-in-arms. He is in no way a victim, except of his mother's misuse of his death for political purposes rather than honor him as the hero he was. Quite simply, it is appalling that she lies about him by portraying him as a "victim" of a war and a mission he volunteered for. He deserved a better memorial than his mother is providing him. I'm just glad her book is selling poorly.
