« Right... | Main | This One's For Blake Wylie » November 15, 2005Peeking InJust peeking in on the fine work of my guest bloggers after a long and busy day that included a "direct" flight from Nashville to Austin that was longer than scheduled thanks to lots of routing around the strong storms that rolled from Texas east though Tennessee Tuesday. We flew into Austin from the south - at one point we were 200 miles south of Austin, according to the pilot. We were far enough south at one point that I could look down from 36,000 feet and see the Gulf Coast. Judging from the swampiness of the coastal land, I'm guessing we were over that area that straddles the Texas-Louisiana border, where Hurricane Rita came ashore a few weeks ago, although we were flying too high to see Rita damage. Thanks to my guest bloggers for holding down the fort here today, and for the next few days. Posted in Site News

I know that the demands of an individual blogging can be very high and not tremendously rewarding (in a time vs. income model in any case). If this new model is sustainable though with a handful of contributions from guest bloggers on state and local politics every day; then I believe this could easily become the best political blog in Tennessee. I've missed the individual heads-down blogging that was your model before you semi-retired; but the guest bloggers are offering a fresh critical mass that brings breadth and depth without completely consuming your life.
