« Gimme Shelter | Main | Right... » November 15, 2005Chairman Without a CauseBy Nathan Moore There is documentation that Steele was called an "Oreo" and an "Uncle Tom". Dean shoots back with more unfounded accusations that the secretaries of state are out to get black voters. Crazy thing … I thought they were just following state laws.Yes - let's take racist insults on the record and answer them with more race-baiting untruths. You know, there is a race problem in this country. Ironically it lies at the feet of a Democratic Party chairman from the least diverse state in the Union. Show me the affidavits. Bring to light the jack-booted thugs. But whatever you do, never trust the individual, and never, ever let go of fear. Such charges would be ridiculously funny if they weren't so damaging to the nation as a whole. Posted in Campaign Season

"You know, there is a race problem in this country" Just look at Texas, that paragon of racial blindness... Do not rejoice so fast, rightwingers. The tide of public opinion is turning. 60% of Americans now believe that Bush is dishonest. Once one is branded a liar, it is very difficult to recover, campaign money or no campaign money. Posted by: Devil's Advocate at November 15, 2005 10:08 PM Don't the Dems dump most of their money into state coffers, not the federal account? I read that they there is a chance that the Dems were outraising us if you include those numbers. I thought that Dean hated the DC dems so he does everything differently- which is why they've raised comparatively so much money. Didn't we used to have a 3-1 advantage over them? Posted by: Jim at November 16, 2005 10:35 AMAre the republicans so desperate for ideas on how to improve their image that they are begging for the Democrats to give them some? As the minority party we don't have to set an agenda, you do. Although if we helped you set an agenda I imagine you'd be more popular as you'd be able to take credit for it. No, screw you and your attempts to hide the fact that the American people hate your agenda. We'll offer ours closer to election time so that you won't have time to steal our ideas and take credit for them. So lame. Posted by: ervington at November 16, 2005 1:25 PMCertainly you see the difference between being against making a candidates' ethnicity an issue, and speaking out against Republicans who want to make it harder for African-Americans to vote. Well, you probably don't. But just try and think about it, ok? Posted by: Negatifzeo at November 16, 2005 3:06 PMThe Dems have a race problem? Hah!!!! Let's see. What are recent polls saying about African-American support for Republicans? Gee willikers, it's down at around 3%. With the margin of error on these polls it's possible that Republican support in the black community may soon be in the negative numbers if this trend continues. Now THAT'S a race problem. By the way, Bush is a liar. Pass it on. Posted by: Randy at November 17, 2005 10:09 AMPost a comment
