Podcasts from the Governor

The state of Tennessee's official website has had a facelift, and the site now offers RSS feeds of Gov. Phil Bredesen's blog (not updated since shortly after the dinosaurs died off), as well as podcasts of various Bredesen statements and such. You can hear the audio of his recent statement on the indictments of four members of the state legislature here in an Mp3 file.

I wonder if Bredesen's site keeps up to date comments from his fellow democrats like Kathryn Bowers.

State Senator Kathyrn Bowers resigned as Chairperson of the Shelby County Democratic party on June 2, 2005. She doesn't want her legal problems to overshadow the Democratic Party and its goals. "I don't want the problems that are besetting me or before me right now to interfere in anyway with the progress of this party because that is the most important thing to me," Sen. Bowers says.

I guess any thought of resigning her senate seat for interfering with the state's progress never crossed her mind.
