On The Good Ship TennCare

Tennessee's first blogging state legislator, Rep. Stacey Campfield, R-Knoxville, has a very good post about the TennCare fiscal crisis and Gov. Phil Bredesens's plans to fix things.

Governor Bredesen is a successful businessman with much touted experience in healthcare and HMOs. But it must be noted, that he made money in healthcare by removing high-risk people from their health plans. He has brought this same management style and strategy to TennCare.

Bill, your site continues to impress me totaly awesome.

I think Stacey Campfield has nailed it exactly. If Bredesen wants to run in '08 for the big house he needs to fix the ship now. If he wants to hang with Hillary, as in Clinton not Van, he only needs to keep taking care of the ones that are "screaming and flailing the loudest and strongest." I hear the words "Love, exciting and new
Come aboard, we're expecting you" as the little makeshift boats pick them up. Governor Bredesen really does look like Captain Stubing doesn't he? Hope the wife is doing better! All the Best! JC

I talk with Rep. John Tidwell today at First Baptist Church. He said that the Governer is DEAD set on destroying TennCare. I said he was acting more like a Republican than a Demanercrate and Tidwill agree whole heartedly. He said that the Republican in the state have an easer actcess to the Governer Office than do members of his own party... He said he would not be suporting him for re-election. I told him that the people I am talking to conserning TennCare have said that anyone who voted for Bredison's plan to distroying of TennCare can forget ever being re-elected to any office. We will campain againts them. We will start a new Branch of the Demericatic Party...
