Why TennCare Costs So Much

The Tennessee ACLU and "advocates" for TennCare recipients are fighting the state's efforts to crack down on fraud. The Tennessee Left: standing in the way of TennCare reform so you can continue to pay ever-higher taxes to support a bloated, wasteful, fraud-riddled program.

The real news here is not that the ACLU has its' nose bent out of shape, because that's long overdue anyway. The NEWS is that Detective Faulkner used TennCare's computer system to nail 3,100 folks who underreported their MONTHLY incomes by $1,500, another 8,000 TennCare users who drive more than 100 miles past their neighborhood pharmacy to fill three TennCare prescriptions, and another 1,400 who were nailed for shopping doctors and pharmacies for narcotic drugs over 30 days.
Maybe the ACLU would like it better if Detective Faulkner's letters began like this: GOTCHA!!

Since it seems clear that the ACLU is hindering the process of rooting out fraud, shouldn't they be charged as accessories after the fact and prosecuted criminally?

Did you read the story??

"In some cases, the state has been incorrectly telling recipients they may have broken the law, the lawyers say."

I think this post is just about attacking the ACLU.
