Whatever It Takes

In a war for survival - in the war to remain free from Islamist oppression and death, the only exit strategy we can afford is complete and total victory, whatever it takes. For your children and mine, please remember that when you vote.

Bush's "Whatever It Takes" ad includes doctored photo:

Appropriately titled "Whatever It Takes", the new BC04 ad uses Bush's convention acceptance speech, stirring music, and images of dedicated troops and families in the heartland. As astutely noted by mikellanes in this thread:

It also uses Photoshopped images to turn a small crowd into a large one cover over Bush at a podium.

How terrible! The use of manipulated images in advertising has never been done before, ever ever! I'm so appalled I'm going to vote for Nader!

Hah. Yeah, right. It amuses me that the Daily Kos is reduced to carping about photoshop this late in the campaign. Methinks it won't be enough to derail the Bush campaign.

You're right Bill, I think the Bush campaign has done a good enough job on its own to derail itself.

*side note-- politics aside, I read in one message that your wife is in the hospital, I hope she is doing better and I will say a prayer for her.

Thanks.

Bush by 6 points, by the way.

That's funny, this poll shows Kerry up 49-48.

John Kerry leads George Bush 49-45 percent of nation-wide RV's, according to an Economist/YouGov Poll conducted 10/25-27.

Kerry leads Bush 49-46 percent of nation-wide LV's in a new Democracy Corps Poll conducted 10/26-27

Economist? Democracy Corps?

You are really reaching.

My mention of 6 points was not referring to polls, but a prediction of the final outcome. Bush by six in the popular vote.

Posted by: Bill at October 28, 2004 3:30 PM

Oh, that was your prediction? Sorry, my prediction is that Bush will win the popular vote narrowly, but lose in the electoral college, and conservatives will "flip flop" and call for an end to the electoral college system of electing the president.

Posted by: TomJ at October 28, 2004 3:49 PM

And the Dems? Will they all of a sudden learn how wise the founding fathers were? Will we hear celebrities saying that since Kerry lost the popular vote, his election is illegitimate?

Of course, we actually thought something like that might happen in October 2000. All the prominent conservative pubs said "That would be too bad, but them's the breaks."

Oh, and BTW, the WaPo has BUSH up 49-48:
