A Lawyer's Whine

Tennessee's trial lawyers, who tend to $upport Democrats, aren't happy with the worker's compensation reform bill pushed through the state legislature by Gov. Phil Bredesen, a Democrat. Blogging Knoxville lawyer Douglas C. Weinstein explains. [Via Instapundit.]

Of course the trial lawyers don't like it - it means a 40 percent cut in their income from worker's comp cases. Meanwhile, small business is happy about the reform. You should be too. Cutting the high cost of worker's comp insurance in Tennessee will mean increased job creation. More jobs is good. More money flowing into trial lawyers's pockets doesn't create more jobs, just wealthier trial lawyers.

More evidence that a Republican agenda is a winner. Even when a Governor from the other party adopts it.

Yeah, people that get hurt, killed or paralyzed on the job shouldn't get much money. I sure am glad you're standing up for those that kill and paralyze. Keep fighting the good fight!
