Bennett's name means "little blessed one," but it is I and his mother Anna and sister who are blessed by his presence. His middle name means "defender of mankind," or something like that. Cool, huh? I'll defend him with my life. I thank God for his existence, and thank God he was born in the United States of America, the only nation on earth that allows him unlimited potential to be and do what he wishes to be and do. Blogging will be light to non-existent for the next few days as I get to know The Amazing Bennett. (And get the nursery painted!). I'm proud to announce the birth of my son, Bennett Alexander Hobbs. Bennett was born at 5:10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, weighing in at 7 pounds and 9.5 ounces, and 20.5 inches. Mom and baby are fine. The proud grandparents are Milton & Harriet Hobbs of Springfield, Pennsylvania, and Charles and Andrea Overby of Brentwood, Tennessee.
